GFRIEND is coming to Malaysia for the first time ever and once again MacpiePro will be the proud organizer of the concert. GFRIEND is one of the most popular girl groups in South Korea, under Source Music and their popularity is growing amongst K-Pop fans!

Introduction to GFRIEND GFRIEND is a six-member South Korean group consisting of Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji. The group was formed in 2015 by entertainment company Source Music, and has since released two studio albums, one compilation album, seven Eps, and one repackaged album in Korea that were all very well-received by their fans whom they adoringly refer to as ‘BUDDY’.

tvN Asia Announces Upcoming Express Drama

– tvN Asia’s latest 24-hour express drama – Her Private Life – starring Kim Jae-wook and Park Min-young, will premiere on tvN in Asia from 11 April (Every Thursday and Friday) at 21:45 (GMT+8) in Singapore and Malaysia, and at 20:45 (GMT+7) in Indonesia.

Her Private Life follows the romance between art gallery curator, Sung Suk-mi (Park Min-young) and her boss, Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-wook). At work, Suk-mi is very hard working and obedient, but secretly, she is a fangirl of Cha Shi-ahn (ONE) and manages a popular fan site. "I think Her Private Life is very unique as it has a fangirl as the main character", expressed Park.

Playing against Park, Kim Jae-wook took the role of a cold and harsh director of an art gallery who used to be a talented artist. "I think Her Private Life is the perfect drama for spring, the season of love. We all have become obsessed with something at one point in our life. Paskal The Movie and New Project

“PASKAL THE MOVIE”, Malaysia’s all-time highest grossing local action blockbuster will be made available on Netflix this 15th March. The action blockbuster which was inspired by true events of the elite Royal Malaysian Navy force PASKAL (Pasukan Khas Laut), raked in a whopping box-office of more than RM30 million and received rave reviews from local audiences last year. It is now set to debut on the popular streaming service Netflix and potentially enjoyed by audiences across the region.   

“PASKAL THE MOVIE” tells the story of Lieutenant Commander Arman Anwar who is a Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) Special Force PASKAL Operative; one with an illustrious service history. Having lost Arman’s father to the same cause, his mother has always been bitter about Arman’s choices and predicament. Just when Arman decided to ask for transfer, he is needed for one last mission that would change his world forever. “PASKAL THE MOVIE” is directed by Adrian Teh and stars Hairul Azreen, Ammar Alfian, Henley Hii, Jasmine Suraya Chin, Namron and Amerul Affendi.  

More to that, the makers of “PASKAL THE MOVIE” is set for another big action hit this year with hardhitting action extravagant “WIRA” (working title), directed by Adrian Teh. It a story based on an exmilitary force character who is fearless in fighting but chooses to deal in his diplomatic ways. However, circumstances have it that it leaves him with no choice but to fight his way to obtain justice for his family and community. The movie has Indonesian action choreographer Yayan Ruhian of The Raid fame on board, along with its main cast comprising Hairul Azreen, Henley Hii, Ismi Melinda, Josiah Hogan and Dain Said. The movie will begin its principal photography next month and target to be released in Malaysia end of this year.

PUMA to bring Hyolyn to Malaysia for the Puma Cali Party!

K-Pop Singer, songwriter and producer Hyolyn, the face of the PUMA #CaliTravelog Campaign in Southeast Asia, will be making an appearance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 27 April 2019 where fans from the region will be able to meet and party with the K-pop star. To be held at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, this will be Hyolyn’s first appearance as a solo artiste in Malaysia.

 
Formerly from popular K-Pop group SISTAR, Hyolyn decided to pursue music solo and has since amassed international success with hits such as SEE SEA, BAE and Dally. Besides her musical prowess, Hyolyn is also known for her dynamic dance moves, making her a source of inspiration to youth around the world as an unconventional K-pop star.

In addition to Hyolyn’s appearance, fringe performances and activities are lined up to thrill and enthral all party-goers.

Props such as caravan and beach chairs are set up to resemble the setting of Hyolyn’s #CaliTravelog music video and will be available for a fun group photo and selfie opportunities.
　

The event will be hosted by Jenn Chia, Malaysia's popular female creative talent who enjoys 63.5k following on her YouTube channel with her own video content ranging from humour to empowerment. The multifaceted online personality also sings and writes music.

Besides the Cali-themed décor, a free-to-play mini bungee will also be available, along with festival food such as burgers, popcorn, cotton candy and beer from food trucks and stalls.

The finale of the party will be the appearance of Hyolyn where she will perform a number of her top hits and her well-known killer dance moves, a rare treat for her fans here in Southeast Asia.

tvN Asia Upcoming Express Drama Touch Your Heart New Stills Released as a Prelude to the Romance Comedy

tvN Asia’s latest 24-hour express drama – Touch Your Heart (触动真心) – starring Lee Dong-wook (李东旭) and Yoo In-na (刘仁娜), will premiere exclusively on tvN in Asia from 7 February (Every Thursday and Friday) at 21:45 (GMT+8) in Singapore and Malaysia, and at 20:45 (GMT+7) in Indonesia.

As a prelude to the drama, the production crew has released some snap shots of Lee Dong-wook as a stellar lawyer Kwon Jung-rok and Oh Jung-sae as Kwon’s boss, Yeon Joon-kyu, which featured a heated confrontation between them. On one hand Jung-rok radiates resentment towards his boss from his stony gaze; on the other hand, Joon-kyu emanates absolute confidence displaying an assertion of his authority. What brings them into this conflict? Most people suspect that it is relevant to the snap shots released previously which showed A-list actress Oh Yoon-seo (Yoo In-na) wearing sun-glasses and looking serious while attending court.

Indeed, they are discussing about the employment of Yoon-seo, who is involved in a scandal, as Jung-rok’s secretary. As things intensify, Joon-kyu completely reveals his hidden identity as a fervent fan of Yoon-seo. While he requests Jung-rok to agree on the employment of Yoon-seo, Jung-rok simply wants to decline it. To employ her or not, this is a battle between the boss and his trustworthy fellow.

Coffee Friends Welcomes Passion-filled Yunho as the New Part-timer

Charity-project-turned-TV-show Coffee Friends is available on tvN in Asia every Saturday at 21:00 (GMT+8)! In tomorrow (2 Feb)’s episode, audience will see TVXQ’s Yunho join as new part-time employee to help out at the cafe.

tvN’s new variety show Coffee Friends originates from a charity project of the same name hosted by Yoo Yeon-seok and Son Ho-jun. This time, the duo brought this project onto TV screen and turned the mobile coffee truck into a cafe at a tangerine farm on Jeju Island. All proceeds will be donated to charity. In last week’s episode, they launched a new menu to encourage donation from customers, which received overwhelming support and gave much laughter to the viewers.

In this week’s episode, audience can finally see the highly anticipated guest, Yunho, a.k.a. U-Know, of TVXQ and good friend of Son Ho-jun, who also supported the coffee truck donation project last year. Greeting everyone with a big smile and great enthusiasm as he enters the cafe, Yunho is immediately assigned dish-washing duty by buddy, Ho-jun. In order to free himself from kitchen chores Yunho displays his positive and passionate attitude by cheering for himself and said “I will work hard and go meet the customers as fast as I can!”

Indeed, during the production conference held earlier Ho-jun already revealed the appearance of Yunho and teased that it is going to be filled with funny moments. Stay tuned to see how passionate Yunho is in the upcoming episode’s Coffee Friends!
