Habaek 2017, starring heartthrob Nam Joo-hyuk and sweetheart Shin
Se-kyung will premiere in Asia-Pacific on 4 July (Tuesday) at 9:45pm
(GMT+8) only on tvN, within 24 hours after premiering in Korea. The production

A Masterpiece with a Touch of Creativity
The Bride of Habaek 2017 is a spin-off of the bestselling
comic of the same name by Yoon Mi-gyung. Different from the original comic, the
TV drama is set in modern days, with some newly created characters to fit the drama
setting. Adapted from a fantasy comic into a TV drama, much imaginations and
creativities are needed in both screenplay and production. Directed by Kim
Byun-soo (Nine: Nine Time Travels) and written by Jung Yoon Jung (Misaeng), The Bride of Habaek 2017 offers viewers
with an all-in-one experience that mixes romance, fantasy, comedy and mystery.
The Chemistry of Nam Joo-hyuk & Shin Se-kyung’s
“So-Baek” Couple
While
a lot of attention was put to Shin Se-kyung’s new short hair look, audience are
all amazed by Nam Joo-hyuk’s god-like appearance. This is also the first time
for the pair to working together, hence, some new sparks and on-screen
chemistry are expected. Within the characters, Habaek’s narcissistic yet hilarious personality, and So-ah’s unique persona brings much
laughter. Furthermore, Moo-ra’s
obsession towards Habaek and jealousy
towards So-ah added excitement to the
storyline. Not to be missed are the storylines of Shin Hoo-ye and troublemaker Bi-ryum.

Based
on a comic story, The Bride of Habaek
2017 has quite a lot of ridiculously funny scenes and witty dialogues,
especially by Habaek who is the Water
God living in the Land of the Water, everything in the human realm is new to
