tvN Asia 24-hr Express Drama My Mister Premiere Tops Rating Chart in Korea


Starring idol/actress IU and veteran award-winning best actor Lee So-gyun, the emotionally-stirring tvN Asia 24-hour express drama, My Mister receives favorable reviews from audience following its successful premiere in Korea on 21 March. The drama centres on the relationship between a quiet man, Park Dong-hoon (Lee So-gyun) in his 40s and Lee Ji-an (IU), a cold lady in her 20s.


The first episode of My Mister recorded an average viewership of 3.9% and a peak of 5.7%; ranked no. 1 among all pay TV and IPTV in Korea during the same timeslot. The drama starts off with promising rating and its second episode continues to garner No. 1 among all pay TV and IPTV during the same timeslot in Korea. Asian audience can enjoy My Mister through tvN Asia within 24-hour of Korea’s broadcast starting from 22 March.


The all-star cast have demonstrated evocative acting and perfect chemistry since beginning. Viewers are mostly astonished at IU’s acting transformation from an adorable “little sister” to a gloomy and desperate, Lee Ji-an. In addition, the realistic depiction of family relationship among Park Dong-hoon’s brothers also receives strong empathy from the audience.


In the first episode, Park Dong-hoon accidentally received a large sum of bribery and was spotted by Lee Ji-an, a contract worker from the same company. Attempting to repay her heavy debts, Ji-an purposely approached Dong-hoon and secretly stole the bribery from him. Meanwhile, Dong-hoon found that Ji-an was different from other colleagues and started to get curious about her. The pair’s chemistry is expected to get stronger as the story goes on, creating much anticipation among fans.
