KPOP STAR is a brand new talent search program to unearth the next big Korean pop star from around the world. Open to contestants from Europe, South America, the US and Korea, KPOP STAR will feature judges from South Korea’s ‘Big Three’ entertainment labels, BoA, Yang Hyun Suk and J. Y. Park.

The winner of KPOP STAR is set to receive a cash prize of KRW300,000,000 (USD260,000), an international album release deal and a chance to enter the ultimate training system for K-pop stars with SM, YG or JYP Entertainment!

BoA is a current recording artist with S.M. Entertainment which manages stars including Girls Generation, Super Junior, SHINee and TVXQ.

Yan Hyun Suk

Yan Hyun Suk is a singer and former member of Seo Taiji & Boys, as well as the founder, owner, and chief executive officer of YG Entertainment that boasts artists including Big Bang, 2NE1 and PSY.

J.Y.Park

J.Y. Park is a singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer and the chief executive officer and founder of JYP Entertainment which is home to performers such as Rain, Wonder Girls, miss A and 2PM.

2012 Play! FTISLAND Concert in Malaysia P3 Tickets Sold Out

“2012 Play! FTISLAND Concert in Malaysia” at 8.30pm, 14^th January 2012 in Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur is rocking off! The organizer, Square Roots announced that P3 (RM138) free seating tickets are sold out. Other tickets RM468 (Rock Zone), RM368 (seated) and RM248 (free seating) tickets is fast selling. It’s an event not to be missed, take your action now to grab a seat!

To cater to the large requests from Northern region fans, the organizers will open a special ticketing counter in Gurney Plaza New Wing (Ground Floor) from 30^th December 2011 till 1^st January 2012. The first 50 purchasers of Rock Zone and P1 will get a limited edition 2012 Play! FTIsland concert Poster.  

The 2012 Play! FTISLAND Concert in Malaysia is specially conceptualized by the FTISLAND members for their fans. This includes song selection, stage design, overall direction and performances. Fans will be able to sing along and be absorbed by FTISLAND’s music at the Rock Zones as the T-shaped extension will allow them to view their favorite band.

[NEWS] Lee Dong Wok & Kim Sun A Live in Malaysia

On  6^th December 2011, Lee Dong Wok and Kim Sun A were here in Kuala Lumpur as a part of their promotional tour for the drama “Scent of a Woman” which is aired on ASTRO B.yond channel 393 OneHD.

  

The first part of the tour was the press conference followed by interviews and “Meet & Greet with Lee Dong Wok and Kim Sun A”.  Even though a bit worn out from their prmotional tour in Singapore the day before, both Lee Dong Wok and Kim Sun A looked dashing in their black and white attire. 

  

Lee Dong Wok is well known with his role as Seol Gong Chan in the hit drama My Girl and “Scent of a Woman” is the first drama that he work on since his release from the army. He expressed his happiness that the drama is well accepted in Korea as well as other countries.

The leading actress, Kim Sun A, looked elegant in a short printed white dress and a far cry from the plump Kim Sam Soon, the role she was famous for in My Lovely Kim Sam Soon along side Hyun Bin in 2005. 

  

Both of them seems to thrive to stardom from romantic comedy drama. But they have proved that they also can act in a heavier role. Scnet of a Woman is a story about a woman; Lee Young Jae who is diagnose with cancer and only have 6 months to live. This is her journey in fulfilling her bucket list and along the way she met and fell in love with Kang Ji Wok.

FTISLAND, the world famous Korean boy band will be coming to Malaysia to perform their first solo concert named “2012 Play! FTISLAND Concert in Malaysia” at 8.30pm, 14^th January 2012 in Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur. The “Play! FTISLAND” concert tour in Malaysia will be the 2^nd leg after Japan and the 1^st amongst Asean countries.  

The 2012 Play! FTISLAND Concert in Malaysia is specially conceptualized by the FTISLAND members for their fans. This includes song selection, stage design, overall direction and performances. FTISLAND – short for FIVE Treasure ISLAND, is a Five member South Korea band. The members comprise of vocalist Lee Hong Gi, bassist and vocal Lee Jae Jin, lead guitarist and keyboardist Choi Jong Hun, guitarist and vocals Song Seung Hyun and drummer Choi Min Hwan.

FTISLAND is very popular in Japan and have had numerous successful album releases since their debut album “Five Treasure ISLAND”.

FTISLAND members are known for their charm and good looks with vocalist Lee Hong Gi famous for his singing style and appeal. 2012 Play! FTISLAND Concert in Malaysia promises to be a real treat for all their Malaysian fans.
