MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia - 8th September 2013


MALAYSIA, 25 JULY 2013 – MTV Asia, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA), today announced the spectacular splash back of MTV World Stage Live in Malaysiaat Sunway Resort City. The much-anticipated outdoor music concert that is recorded live for global telecast marks its fifth year on Sunday, 8 September 2013, with international acts from Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S., Robin Thicke and Far East Movement who are set to ignite this year’s MTV World Stage with Malaysia’s own and one of Asia’s leading hip hop stars, Joe Flizzow.
The award-winning and multi-platinum artist, Robin Thicke, and Far East Movement are no strangers in Asia as they continue to be hot favourites in the region. Malaysia fans will also be pleased to hear the show will continue with Sunway Resort City as the event venue for three years starting 2013, in an announcement made at a signing ceremony between Viacom International Media Networks and Malaysia’s Sunway Groupyesterday. MTV VJs Alan and Hanli will be hosting this year’s concert.
MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2013, to stage in front of a live audience of about 15,000 fans, is sponsored by Sunway Group, Xpax and Suzuki, and supported by broadcast partner, Astro. Local radio partners are, ERA fm, MY FM and MIX fm.

Malaysian Celebrities Get on LINE!

These three rising Malaysian celebrities also recently filmed a series of four LINE TV commercials as they unveil their personality and interaction as buddies, as well as rivals too. In this entertaining series, while Neelofa and Nazim get to relight their experience working together since the acclaimed drama series “Kau Yang Terindah”, the addition of Fizo sparked new chemistry and friendships among the three of them.

The first edition of the TV commercial features Neelofa and her sister Nabila, where the latter attempted to borrow a dress from Neelofa as they chat on LINE using Stickers, text and voice messaging. The other commercials captured Nazim and Fizo in action competing with each other on LINE Games.

Since the TV commercials premiered on local television channels on 12 July 2013, the messaging application tracked an increased daily download rate of over 200 per cent in Malaysia. The rapid user growth bolsters LINE’s greater commitment to continuously roll out more localised and tailored features for Malaysian users.  

Recently, LINE has released a set of eight (8) special limited edition Ramadhan stickers for Malaysians users in conjunction with the blessed Ramadhan fasting month and upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. 

Each sticker depicts global iconic LINE characters – Cony, Brown, Moon and Sally – in a fun and animated way as they perform a variety of traditional customs, including seeking forgiveness, salam with each other, serving ketupat and balik kampung. Apart from sending spiced-up mobile greetings on LINE, users are able to use the Ramadhan Stickers to decorate their photos on LINE Camera.   

LINE has also extended its partnerships with local business entities to run the LINE's Special Hari Raya Giveaway where LINE is giving away sampul duit raya (green envelopes) at various locations across Malaysia throughout the Ramadhan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri season. 1) Due to security reason, overnight fans were asked to go home by the KWC's security. Fans started queuing at 4.00 am on the day of pre-sale.

2) 300 fans turn up during the pre-sale, parents came to queued and some parents brought the premium tickets for whole family.

3) Pre-sale started early at 10.30 am instead of 11.00 am and ended withiin 2 hours.

LINE Celebrates Ramadhan with Limited Edition Stickers for Malaysians

Kim Hyun-joong to release 3rd album

Dear all,
Good news the prince of Hallyu, Kim Hyun Joong is making comeback to Korea market.

Singer-actor Kim Hyun-joong will launch a third domestic mini-album titled “‘ROUND 3” in late July.

His agency KEYEAST announced on Monday that Kim would release six songs with the mini album, and perform for local fans on July 22.

Since his last album “Lucky” in 2011, he was absent in domestic music stages for nearly two years. Kim has recently joined the cast for an entertainment program “Barefoot Friends.”

The six-track mini album will include the title song “Your Story,” an R&B pop version of the title song “Unlimited” from his Japanese edition album. Other songs such as “‘Let’s Party” and “Unbreakable” will add on some upbeat and Korean features on the new mini album.

His agency added that Kim has been working hard on his homecoming act.

AIA K-POP Concert 2013 (BEAST,4MINUTE, G.NA)

It was a night that had been waited by myb2uty, my4nia, and G.Nis in Malaysia. It was fun, entertaining and energetic, despite mic problem during Beast performance. 
It started with a short speech by AIA Chief Executive officer, Mr. Bill Lisle and right away performance by G.Na. G.Na performed 8 songs, Supa Solo, "꺼져 줄게 잘 살아" feat Jun Hyung, Banana, First Kiss, Top Girl, 2hot, Black & White and not to forget cover for Take a Bow + Rude Boy by Rihanna. It warmed up the night before 4minute heated up the whole stadium.
4minute started with intro and their latest hit What's your name followed by Mirror Mirror which sent the fans frenzy. Not to forget thier hits such as IM Ok, Huh, Muzik, 모르는척, Ment 4, Heart to Heart and Hot Issue.
The most waited performance of the night, well Off course was BEAST. The minute the name was announced the fans scream out of their lung. Started with intro + 아름다운 밤 (beautiful night) its enough to show how big was Beast fans base in Malaysia. Not to mentioned when they sang their other hits such as Bad Girl, Shcok, Special, Fiction, I knew it (ballad), Freeze Beautiful, 앵콜대기 and last one V.I.U.
