13 acts to feature in Singapore’s biggest ever K-pop live music event

Thirteen of K-pop’s hottest acts will descend upon Singapore this November for the unprecedented 2013 MBC Korean Music Wave in Singapore (Music Wave) concert.

Scheduled to take place on November 16 from 7pm onwards at the scenic Gardens by the Bay, Music Wave is the largest ever multi-band K-pop concert on the island-republic, and is jointly organized by one of South Korea’s biggest broadcasters Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation and Singapore-based Fatfish Entertainment.

The stunning lineup of K-pop’s hottest names include SHINee, 2PM, 2AM, F.T. Island, B1A4, TeenTop, B.A.P, f(x), IU, Sistar, Miss A, 4 Minute and Kara, with TaeTiSeo, a sub-group of mega-popular Girls’ Generation set to be MCs for the night.

Speaking to journalists in Seoul after the announcement, Fatfish Entertainment’s Founding Partner, Lau Kin Wai said, “We know that K-pop fans in Singapore and around Southeast Asia are some of the most passionate and loyal in the world, so Music Wave is a special treat for them. This is the big one they’ve been waiting for. To see 13 of their favourite acts perform on one stage at a great venue such as the Gardens by the Bay will be a night to remember.”

Members of B1A4, TeenTop, MissA, who were present at the announcement  press conference, shared their excitement on being able to meet their Singapore fans soon and expressed the hope that all K-pop lovers and live music fans in the region will enjoy this one-night only concert together.

MBC will also showcase Music Wave over its free-to-air TV station (MBC-TV Channel 11) in South Korea and this delayed broadcast will reach up to 10 million viewers.

Available tickets for the K-pop extravaganza in Singapore range from RM440 to RM960 and can be bought from RedTix and MP Travel now, as well as Ticketcharge from 16 Oct 2013 onwards.
